First stop was Champion, a nice little village with very friendly people celebrating Canada Day.

The camp ground at Champion was super clean, cheap, and had nice hot water showers

There was a nip in the air, easily cured with a small campfire

Canada is beautiful and clean and the wildlife a lot more visible than in the US where it is hunted rather heavily. Before heading for the Alaska Highway we detoured through Banff and Jasper National parks, a truly magnificent part of the world.

After a few days in the parks we headed north to the famous Alcan or as it is now called, The Alaska Highway. The beauty continues and becomes ever more remote and primitive as one travels further north. The days became longer until we had almost 24 hours of daylight.

Next, Alaska, a general look around...
