This may seem like a radical move from the sunny shores of Florida to the icy north but we love travelling and a big change always gives us energy. We have thought about this move for some time now and Hurricane Michael was the final decider. So after posting our last blog about our boat ( http://seawindcat.blogspot.com/ )we are on to the next crazy plan!
The move to Panama City was purely for me to attend Gulf Coats State College to complete an Associate in Science Degree in Unmanned Vehicle Systems (drones). I completed the degree and we stayed on in Panama City so I could get some experience and start a business in drone photography and videography. This worked out pretty good and work was coming in until a devastating hurricane struck on 10 October 2018. Hurricane Michael, a cat5 storm, destroyed this once quaint city. We tried to return to a normal lifestyle but it has been an uphill struggle and the character of the area has been changed forever.

We bought a Chevy S10 pickup and fitted it out for camping with built in storage for our junk. The plan is to do the trip as economically as possible so camping at free areas or state parks seems like the way to go. This plan also means getting rid of all unnecessary possessions.
Designing our car storage |
Platform for our mattress with storage for 6 flatish containers underneath. |
We have some space for more junk in the extended cab but what doesn't easily fit in this vehicle goes out!
